This is awkward

Well... I haven't posted in three months! And oh, the things you've missed!

Well... nothing really... that's a depressing thought! Nothing particularly noteworthy has happened in the last three months. I guess I finished my astronomy GCSE. The exam was in May but the mock was a few weeks beforehand, and surprisingly enough I got an A. I thought at most it would be a B, I'm quite good at astronomy but there is A LOT to remember! I mean I had to know the equation for gravity! ( in case you were wondering). I haven't got the results though, I think they come on the 23rd of August, but I'm on holiday so it doesn't matter, I'll get them back when I get back... the day before school starts... nice one parents. I'll get the results for my science re-sit exams (because apparently a low A* just isn't good enough) and my astronomy and French final GCSE grade. For french (and I'm not trying to boast) I'm pretty sure I got a high A* *squeals with excitement* and for astronomy I think it'll be a high B/low A, but I'm okay with that. Next year I get the rest of them and UGH I am not looking forward to my English result... I suck at English... like badly.

Error - Unfortunately an error occurred whilst trying to think of a title and the procedure was abandoned

I just tried to write a blog about emotions, read it through and then deleted the entire thing. I realised that at the moment the only emotion I feel is disappointment. I didn't get dumped (like I had a relationship in the first place), I didn't get let down by anyone, I'm really just disappointed in myself. I've had three weeks of holidays and out of the 7 things I had to do, I've done the 2 easiest ones. I just feel like what I do won't amount to anything, or it won't pay off and because of that my brain immediately goes: Not doing it then. I'm going to try and get over this horrible habit but I don't know how. I've tried making timetables but that doesn't seem to work because I can't really stick to them. I've had days before where I get up and do everything and I'm generally really productive but, as of late, it just feels that those kinds of days (one of the best kind) are coming around a lot less often.

Wow!

Wow! I did an entire post without mentioning anything but books, that was fun.
Anyway my drama performance went AMAZING, I was so proud of us and I felt so happy, but a little sad because now it's over :( We got our director a rugby ball (he plays a lot) and we all signed it, he looked really pleased. My birthday was fun, I got an Xbox 360! and some games, but they're not great. It doesn't matter though because my brother has an Xbox too so I can just borrow his games.
My half-term just started and so I'll just be chilling for a while. Have a fun week,

On hardbacks I have a tendency to accidentally rip the cover, so most of the time I discard it.

One at a time or I get confused, but I go through books like food so they never stick around for long.

Room - Emma Donoghue, well written and original but it was too hard-hitting for me.

I love most books I read, and I always keep them.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Suzanne Collins, if I read it then the series will be over, I want to enjoy it as much as I can.

There will be one at some point but I haven't found one yet.

Scary Performance

In two days I have a drama performance, our entire class of 14 is included and to be honest... I'm immensely worried. First of all, tomorrow (The day before!!) is the first time we'll be using liquid (it's set in a pub and we need drinks) and it's the first time we're practising the bow... which should be entertaining :S


But I'm trying to be optimistic even though it's not my nature. In other news it's my birthday next week! I haven't really asked for much so my presents should be interesting but as the years go by I've sort of lost the childhood excitement, almost insanity, that comes with birthdays. Nowadays it's more of a figure change when people ask my age. 


... well I've run out of things to say other than...

Catching Up

Sorry for not posting sooner, I have been super busy. So what's happened since then? I hear no-one asking. I got some good Christmas presents :) I had a pretty boring New Year, sat alone in my room with my new TV and rang in 2012 with Family Guy and American Dad....so not that boring ;) I've spent most of my Xmas holiday doing science revision, because I have GCSE's the day I come back (well mocks, but still scary) so I've tried to be extra organised so I don't fail. I also have a mock French exam on the same day as my Biology test......so no pressure O_o. I'm also having to do a 2000 word performance diary for Drama, that I've only written 474 words of, so lots of stuff for me to do :D

Failure

Well... that failed.
I've given up on NaNoWriMo. Nooooo I hear you screaming, but I must tell you that I haven't given up on my book, I shall continue writing it when I can, I have just given up on doing so in a month. I mean its freaking impossible! I am also extremely lazy.

*gasps*
On a random note, I actually have plans tomorrow!!

Although I did invite myself. It's a long story but I'm gunna tell you it anyway.

It was a dark and stormy night. Actually it was a perfectly bright and sunny Friday. Two of my friends, shall we call them A and B were talking about going to Bromley on Sunday. They are probably some of my best friends and this is the third time its happened and they haven't invited me. When they were talking about it at lunch on Friday I tried to hint that I wanted to come by saying "What you doing? That sounds awesome" But still nothing. So I thought Oh well it doesn't really matter, so what if they wanna hang out. If I talked to them about it I'd just seem needy and annoying. But then my mum said that she's having friends round on Sunday and I can't be in the house, so I swallowed (That's what she said) my pride and asked if I could come, they said sure and that I shouldn't feel like that because the only reason they didn't invite me was because they were buying a joint present for another friend. So now I feel stupid.

But forget about my troubles and enjoy whatever the hell is going on in your life that is good :)

NaNoWriMo

For those of you who don't know, NaNoWriMo means National Novel Writing Month. It's a challenge where people from all around the world try to write a 50,000 word novel in the month of November. This is my first year doing it and it's going okay so far. I'm a little worried about the rate at which I'm going through my plot, but I don't mind if I don't get to 50,000 words. I've always wanted to write a novel and now I have an excuse. Mine is about the war of angels, except with a completely different story line. I'm on 6,165 words at the moment and I hope it works out.
Gotta go write more.

Explanation

I thought I would explain why this is called *Insert something witty*.
I'm not entirely sure myself to be honest. I thought that it had to be kind of funny but show some sort of intelligence. I realised that if I named it something I'd probably eventually get annoyed/bored with it, so I thought might aswell let them think up their own title. Hence the name.

There is a musician I recently started listening to called Jose Vanders. She's sort of like Kate Nash. Anyway she's quite cool, and funny coincidence she's the daughter of one of my school teachers. I've only really listened to Faces Going Places.

I've got a cold and am covered in mosquito bites so excuse the not so exciting post.

Aww :3

Sorry about that last post, it was for a competition, but as it turns out that I can't enter it because I can't comment on other peoples blogs. OH WELL!

Anyway...
OH Yeah! For my drama class (seems all I talk about is drama) we are doing a little thingy and I have to write a work diary. I haven't written one before so any comments about how would be appreciated. It has to be in for tomorrow so... (HINT HINT)
Our thingy is called 'Five solve a mystery' but because it was difficult to get all five of us solving it, the main character (Me) is called Five, clever isn't it!

One of my friends did something adorable today. She came up and gave me a hug (my friend group hugs a lot) and said "I love you Sawwah" she said it in a friend way, don't read too much into it. But it was SO cute, I almost died of adorableness.

So the morale is ... I suck at drama and my friends are awesome.

Essays

In drama I've been told to write a theatre review of the 39 steps......and it has to be 2000 words ¬_¬
We've been given help and have been shown how to do it. It's just actually doing it that is the hard part. And its coursework so if I screw it up...IT MATTERS!!

Anyway, I am loving the rest of this Doctor Who series! funny coincidence my drama teacher knows Karen Gillan!! Amy Pond!! So jealous.

Still Got Legs

I recently fell in love with Chameleon Circuit's new album Still Got Legs. As you might has guessed from the title the band only sing songs about Doctor Who, it is seriously awesome, even if you don't like, or haven't heard of Doctor Who the songs are still great. Dancing Cats

I recently got back from Italy. It was great other than the fact I have 84 mosquito bites, my tour of the colosseum got cancelled because someone was joking about and stuck some wires in a bag of tomatoes and pretending it was a bomb, threw up twice on the plane home and I still haven't got my luggage because they've "misplaced" it. But I'm in high spirits because one of my favourite authors (Derek Landy) is releasing the next (Death Bringer) in his series (Skulduggery Pleasant) soon, and for once he is doing a signing near me twice! so I'm going to get my books signed, and hopefully have a chat with him at the same time.

P.S. The cat title is that in Italy I bought a dancing cat (electric toy in case there was any confusion) from a street vender, and he followed me through several streets so I could get change to buy it.

Special 3D Glasses

Two days ago I went to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2. I cried at the end, but not because it was too sad, it was that it was such a great ending. I also cried because it was the end of the series and there will be no more, which being extremely nerdy, upsets me. I went with a friend to see it in 3D and for an extra 2 pounds you could get special Harry Potter 3D glasses shaped like Harry's glasses. Me and my friend also dressed up. I was a Ravenclaw and so was he (He's actually a Gryffindor but didn't have a red tie only blue).So if you haven't seen it already, I implore you, go see it, its amazing. But if you haven't seen any of the films or read any of the books I only have one thing to say to you. Where have you been all these years?!?!

Ever get the feeling that you are eternally useless? Or is it just me?
My cousin just a got a really nice but fit boyfriend, and I'm happy for her don't get me wrong but it makes me feel ugly and un-loveable. Want to know the sad truth? I'm 14 and never had a boyfriend. Some might say 'Oh thats nothing I didn't get one until 19' or something, but I don't care about other people. I care about me and how for the past year I've spent most of it longing for someone to tell me I'm beautiful everyday, or randomly kiss me mid-conversation, someone to depend on if everything else fails.

Just read that and realised how stupid it sounds so I apologize.

I believe in a thing called Love.

This one is inspired by "I believe in a thing called Love"  by The Darkness. Check it out, its a truly awesome song. Love has always puzzled me. It has so many different forms, old, new, family, friend, different-sex, same-sex. It can manifest itself anywhere and at any time. What surprises me most is that it changes everyone, once you fall in love, life is never the same. I know you're thinking this sounds like the speech at the beginning of Love Actually. But the thing I love about love, is that it can never be denied, yes in the words you speak, or the thoughts of your mind, but in your heart it can never be reasoned with, like an unstoppable force, but an amazing life completing one.

So this is me, signing off on something I have almost no experience with...but I will. And honestly...
